Dr. David R. Dewberry (Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Communication Ethics, University of Denver; M.A. & B.A. in Communication, University of Arkansas) is an Assistant Professor of Communication at Rider University. He is primarily a political rhetorician with a focus on free expression with a number of publications in the National Communication's Free Speech Yearbook. In addition to his university teaching, he has taught for the Junior Statesmen Foundation in American Samoa and Yale University during the summer. He also is the editor of the Southern States Communication Association's Communication Law Review.
